  1. Was 13 in 1976 and went to see "Logan’s Run" just for Farrah Fawcett Majors, movie is great! Lebowski is a classic. Great list! Thanks

  2. I just want to thank you that was my first time ever watching The big Lebowski I absolutely love the movie I became a life time fan lol thanks

  3. I didnt fight and watch my buddies die face down in the muck in Vietnam for this and I dont roll on Shabbos!! Shomer Shabbos!!

  4. I need to quit skipping through your videos I didn’t hear the part where you said you thought Mandy was full of it and full of shit until you watched it again lol… I totally agree with you and will give it a second shot…

  5. Thanks Daren. I’m going to watch Tombstone again, I thought Logan’s Run was cool for an older movie. Keep up the Good work.

  6. Blue Velvet… Timeless masterpiece
    Tombstone. Great western
    The book of Eli.. Enjoyable
    Bad Samaritan… Good flick, underrated
    Lebowski…. Awesome
Mandy… Good but ultimately boils down to individual preference..

  7. I was just telling my wife about Logan’s Run. I’m old enough to have seen it in the theater. We went to go see Farrah Fawcett in her small role. I ended up with a teenage crush on Jenny Agutter 🙄 I’m gonna have to talk my wife into watching it – thanks for the heads up.

  8. Definitely looking forward to watching Mandy and Logan’s Run.
I liked that you added Book of Eli; it received a lot of flack but I enjoyed it.

Curious to hear your opinion on Jim Carrey’s Dark Crime movie. Like you said, I heard it was awful but I do like Jim in dark roles like in Number 23, which also wasn’t well received.
Love watching your show as always

  9. I’m going to be in the minority here, but I didn’t like The Big Lebowski. No real major reason, just didn’t care for it

  10. Omg so excited to see Mandy! Been really looking forward to this since you recommended it. Thanks buddy. Would not have known it was there cause I was getting disappointed in Shudder for a while.

  11. Blue Velvet – have not seen, will watch.
Tombstone – I love this movie and am watching now. I’ve bought it 5 times. 1 vhs, 2 DivX (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIVX), 3 dvd (x2), 4 on iTunes.
Your off to a great start!
The book of Eli – great movie, watched it again least night. What scene has the movie poster for “A Boy and His Dog?” Yes, your right it does have an old western feel to it.
Inception – it was too much. Didn’t care for it. Might try it again since it’s free, but don’t like DiCaprio.
Dark crimes – you actually made it sound interesting, will watch. My favorite Jim Carrey movie is The Truman Show. I don’t like stupid humor.
Bad Samaritan – is on my watch list. Not really my kind of movie but I’ll try it out.
Logan’s run – what can you say? I remember loving this movie 30 years ago. I also remember a tv series when I was a kid. Yes your right, this movie deserves a remake!
District 9 – great flick will watch again.
The big legoski – dude I understand it’s your favorite movie! You have commented on it in a dozen videos. Even though I didn’t care for it the first time I watched it, I will give it a second try.

  12. I agree about Big Lebowski. I wouldn’t call it my favorite movie, but if it’s on I’ll keep watching — or at least DVR it.

  13. Haven’t seen Bad Samaritan yet. I liked Book of Eli and District 9. Waiting for a District 10, but it looks like Blomkamp has been putting himself into Oats Studios.

  14. I am beyond bummed because I want to hear your Mandy Playlist but there’s a glitch in my personal info on Spotify that spells my user name, which is also my e-mail name, wrong. I went around and around the block with them on this and thought I finally got through to them and went back to my page and…. NOPE, there’s still the stupid wrong name on my account. It’s as simple as changing an "i" to a "u", but the Almighty, All Powerful Internet is apparently too smart for it’s own good. And of course there’s no real person to reach out to and explain my situation. I really hope this eventually gets worked out because I am into music like you, Darren, are into movies and I can’t wait to share some of the stuff I have with you, after I’ve listened to yours first, of course, so we’ll be in the same headspace. If you or anyone reading this knows a way I can resolve my issue with Spotify, please feel free to offer suggestions. I am from the Old World where a computer filled a large room and I had NO CLUE that someday the computer would be as much a household Item as a coffee pot or can opener. For instance, I had given up typing years ago because it was just too stressful to correct all my errors. Now you simply push a button and all is well! I even figured out a glitch on my Smart Phone the other day! This one’s a little harder, though, because it involves a company that is completely run on line, with NO REAL PERSON to contact, as far as I know. Cheers, and many thank yous for future guidance!

  15. Btw Peter Capaldi was the best Doctor Who in my opinion but I liked all the ones from Season 6 on. Hard to connect with the new female Doctor. Ok yes I’m a nerd.

  16. Hard to believe that nobody has dumped truckloads of cash into making more District 9 movies maybe District 9 Homecoming on the alien home world and District 10 The Return to Earth 😎

  17. Would luv to see a Logan’s Run update – could make it hella dark and more "trippy" if panos cosmatos did it, and he could def nail the aesthetic – or super cerebral and trippy if denis villeneuve got a hold of it! Shit even a Nolan version would be bad ass too, he would just edit it in some fucked up way

  18. I’m so behind on movies. I’m still trying to watch your recommends from August. I’m gonna go for District 9, Logan’s Run & Good Sam.

  19. Blue Velvet – have not seen, will watch.
Tombstone – I love this movie and am watching now. I’ve bought it 5 times. 1 vhs, 2 DivX (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIVX), 3 dvd (x2), 4 on iTunes.

  20. DARREN! I also recently watched Logan’s run, and loved it! For it’s time period it is actually very visually impressive. Also this movie was the first ever to use laser (something) tech, like used in Xanadu, Tron, etc.

  21. Just rewatched the big labowski the other day, man I could watch that movie a shit ton! The dialogue is so good! I don’t buy a lot of movies anymore, but I’m gonna have to pick up Mandy. As you said I feel it’s an instant cult classic and so glad cage did it, I have hope for him once again. Lol

  22. Uggg! Amazon Prime if you liked Logan’s Run, then try some other 70’s sci fi such as The Omega Man Man, Soylent Green and Westworld! And please please please watch R100 in which you will not soon forget and you will be telling everyone for years!!!!!!!!! R100, R100, R100, R100, R100!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you were speaking of youtube. Youtube has some great classic films!!!! Many from Hitchcock, Seven Beauties, Swept Away, Danton, Hard Boiled, Ugetsu, Shansho the Bailiff etc etc etc. Many very big thanx for listening!!!!!!!
